To Grieve, or Queer, or … Fly Above It All

So many issues we humans care about.

When children lie slain in their graves, do we cry out for their lost lives

and who should or should not have the right to

Be …

one gunshot away from Not Being.

Or do we wonder even more whether we’re born the right sex or not?

I have no answers, and no questions either.

But I have plenty of observations about

things that lots of people don’t want to hear aloud.

Like, does it matter, really, what sex I am?

Or you are?

Or if you, or I, thought creation “made a mistake” by

assigning a wrong sex to you upon arrival on Earth.

And if I had a choice (which we do now, thanks to hormones and social acceptance) would I want to enjoy this thing

called Life

by changing whatever and however it’s been dealt to me,

rather than know I somehow ended up

on the other side …

of Life …

without getting to know what “sex” meant, as every

ten year old child knows is what’s only just beginning

to awaken within them, then.

But no.

Right. Remember …

they don’t have a body anymore at all.

Does it matter, then, whether I’m a boy/girl/or an it?

If I’m shot dead just when I’m beginning to ask these questions

to myself.

When I was younger it was fashionable, as it is now

to wander and wonder all over the place

and experiment

and enjoy the forbidden

fruits

of Life.

Besides, I was abused.

I had the right to be confused. I needed to know that sex

was not that evil

thing.

Done to me.

But now that I’ve seen a few more sunsets and sunrises

I can honestly say

today … finally … whew! that

No, it doesn’t matter

what sex I am

Or, for that matter,

what sex you are.

Or if you even have a sex

Because Sex and Spirit,

I’m here to tell you

Are ONE.

By exploring one to its limits …

one opens the shut-tight portal to the other.

Sex and Spirit; Spirit and Sex

the door says.

Sexual and spiritual energy arise from the same

level of consciousness achieved by each individual.

And if, as I did when I “got there”

I was as fucked up as a person could be

Back when I believed sex and drugs and no, not rock, but maybe

jazz and sailing and

adventuring in Third World jungles

would solve all my

yearning desires; I kept wanting more

The Itch that we all have to know

… or not know …

that answers who and what we truly are.

Today, I’m happy for the Trans, the Queers, and the all the rest of the so-called

Alphabet People

(as my straight sister kinda sneers, but actually, it’s a pretty accurate name).

I’m curious though,

if sexual identification is as

satisfying and life-long fulfilling

as the LGBQT+ tribe proclaim it to be.

I dunno. I stuck it out with what

was given me upon arrival here.

Maybe, when they’ve searched and explored and

done what they must do …

they will be at ease, and find out

It really doesn’t matter.

What sex one is.

Find your bliss.

Live your bliss.

There, you’ll find Love.

The only thing that matters is to know that

We Are All ONE.

And the spiritual connection to life

is

It

Love: the weapon of mass illumination

This I know, trust, and am grateful to have discovered

is within us all.

Everything is and was and forever shall be …

Love.

Self Love starts the ball rising!
