The Thrust Tells Us SO
When I awake, I ask myself, “How’s life, kiddo?” And usually I answer, “Pretty dang great!” That’s because I have a talk with my inner Self and never ever rush to any screen.
I don’t want to know what’s happening in the “outside world” until I check in with my “inner world.” That’s what I mean by The Thrust. It’s an energy thing, y’see. It’s the urge to BE alive, to participate and not just feel helplessly floating along like a leaf being blown in the wind.
It took me a while to discover I had this kind of “inner power” to tune into. It’s a learned thing, especially for someone like me who used to feel I had no say whatsoever in what was going on. Before I awakened to “the awakened state” I never really even knew how I felt. In past time, I was a self-admitted numbskull, a victim, a slug. But today, I’m happy to report, I’ve learned how to rise above that creepy no-good, no-fun self I’d somehow become … just by having grown up in a home without much attention to ….
the THRUST!!!
Sure, we had rules, in my childhood’s upbringing. Plenty of those. And sure, we had order, important goals, and lots of lip service to “making something of ourselves.” But unfortunately … no THRUST.
I had to experience the THRUST of creativity on my own, when I finally bottomed out, and decided I had to change the way I’d been taught to approach things. And since then, since discovering the THRUST, I’ve been spreading the news that It’s Real, It Exists, and once found, is way more exciting than anything else anybody ever offered me before.
The THRUST is better than a good movie, a super danceable tune, a slick new outfit. The THRUST is … well, it’s the push that gets me to be in tune with who and what I really am, not the “somebody” or “something” that others tried telling me I was.
The Thrust is invisible, and nearly indescribable to anyone who hasn’t felt it. But as a former imbiber of all sorts of mind-altering this-n-dats, let me tell you the truth, m’friend. The Thrust is the highest high, the most real experience of all.
The Thrust Can Be Described as the Energy of Creation.
We all have it. Some of us try to ignore it, others cultivate it, and many others want it. So I’m here to spread the good news that this Thrust I’m describing also has other names. One of my favorite names for the Thrust is … Love. To understand the Thrust that keeps me wanting to do, to make, to share, to believe, to focus on the uplifting forward movement of human evolution (instead of the Debby Downer stuff others seems to flock to) … one only has to substitute the verb-noun word “LOVE” for whenever I mention “THRUST” above, and you’ll begin to understand what I’m so happy to write about, here, with you listening. Or not.
